Mosaic might be moving its headquarters to Florida, but two other local business giants have taken its place on the list of Minnesota Fortune 500 companies:

The news broke Monday, 5/21, that St. Paul-based financial company Securian and Medina-based rough-and-tumble vehicle maker Polaris Industries are now members of Fortune’s exclusive list.

Securian, as of the 2018 list, is now ranked 462nd and Medina-based Polaris ranked at No. 496. The Fortune rankings are based on annual company revenue.

Securian has been moving steadily up in the rankings over the past few years. The good news comes as something of a break for Polaris, which has been been hit with recent product recalls due to issues with various lines of off-road vehicles, including reports of fire-causing defects within the machines.

In a statement published just after the announcement, Polaris CEO Scott Wine said it’s a “tremendous honor and a true testament to the integrity, passion and commitment to excellence of every Polaris employee.”

Healthcare giant UnitedHealth Group is still Minnesota’s largest representative. It rose in the rankings as well to take the fifth spot overall.

Speaking of the list, here it is:
