Here are the Recycling Zone policy changes you need to know

At the beginning of the year there was a change to what is accepted at the Recycling Zone in Eagan, MN located at 3365 Dodd Road (Hwy 149).

The Recycling Zone will no longer be taking plastic bags and wraps or packaging peanuts. The reason? Grocery stores have picked up the slack, and offer bins in the front lobby or around the store at which you can drop them off. The bags do not belong in your recycle bin, as they can get wrapped around recycle sorting equipment.

As far as packaging materials, as long as they are clean most UPS stores and other local shipping stores will take them from people to be reused.

The other big change is, although the Recycling Zone will still take aluminum cans, they will no longer pay you for them.
