A luge doubles action shot from the last Winter Olympics, 2014, in Sochi, Russia

Duluth Trading Company, the workwear & clothing company that, despite its name, is not based in Duluth, is now part of a 5-year partnership with USA Luge.

Yep, DTC is the “Official Off-Sled Outfitter” (i.e. providing non-sledding apparel) of USA Luge athletes and staff.

This means that by the time our luge squad enters Pyeongchang, South Korea for the 2018 Winter Olympics they’ll be rocking the company’s signature vests, pants, socks, boots, underwear, and other cold-weather clothes.

What products specifically? Well, for women: No-Yank Tanks and Flexpedition Water Repellent Pants and for men, things like the Alaskan Hardgear Wind-Resistant Boxer Briefs and Black Hills Water Repellent Cargo Pants.

The USA Luge and Belleville, Wisonsin-based Duluth Trading Co. partnership officially started on Nov. 17; plenty of time before the official start of World Cup luge racing to qualify for the next winter games. The brand can now include the USA Luge logo in any and all of its marketing, public relations, and social media campaigns, and have exclusive access to luge athletes for partnerships at other sporting, etc. events.

While DTC has been officially operating in Wisconsin since the 1990’s, after being founded as a mail-order company in Duluth, they have since opened a massive storefront in their hometown.
