MNsure enrollment: A quick guide

111

Most people can agree that having health insurance is pretty important. To help people get there, the state of Minnesota runs its own Health Care Exchange, and the current enrollment for Minnesotans is until January 14th 2018.

There is still plenty of time for those seeking health insurance to go to the MNsure website and see if there is a plan that will benefit them.

But this isn’t just a simple site for picking out your plan. Not at all. There’s guidance to help you through the whole process, and has a comparison tool as well to help you make your decision. This tool isn’t very hard to use, and only asks you 4 quick questions, as well as if there are any prescriptions you might be on, before you get to the page that compares the plans (any current enrollees can click HERE to see if their plan will be available in 2018).

Plus, the website isn’t the only method of finding help:

Over the phone (for help or enrollment)

In-person help

There is a great resource HERE that will allow someone to find assistance, or a broker or navigator.

Enrollment events

The website found HERE will allow you to search for an enrollment event near you. This is for people who have questions, would like to start the enrollment process, or just want/need help with their application. It is as simple as putting in your zip code, range of dates of an event, and what you would like to do, then hitting enter.

Anyone with a mental or physical disability can submit a specific request for accomodations to AEO@MNsure.org at least two weeks in advance of an event date. This same address can be used if someone would like materials in an alternative format such as large print, braille, or audio.
