Dog-friendly patios: Go out to eat and bring your pup with you

With summer coming near and the weather hopefully not throwing us any more surprise snow flurries, it is finally time to discuss patios. And with nice weather the dog owners of the Twin Cities and Minnesota in general are going to want to spend some more time with their dogs. What better way to go out with friends and bring your best four-legged friend along with you then to go to a dog friendly restaurant?

I scoured the internet and here is a short list of dog friendly restaurants in the Twin Cities for you and your doggie daughter or son to spend time in this summer.

Dog-friendly patios in the Twin Cities

Pizzeria Lola

5557 Xerxes Ave S | Minneapolis, MN 55410 | (612) 424-8338

A pizzeria named after a dog and their About section on their website says it better than I ever could:

“A Korean immigrant, inspired by the pure love of food, joy and her mother’s own delicious cooking, quits her day job, opens an artisan pizza pie place and names it after her dog. There’s no need to be overly patriotic here, but is there anything more American than that? Yep, sometimes dreams do come true.
Welcome to Pizzeria Lola!”

Surly Brewing Company

520 Malcolm Ave SE | Minneapolis, MN 55414 | (763) 999-4040

A Minnesota home brewery that turned into something much bigger. From its brew hall with 18 beers, it’s restaurant above it, and brewery tour there is plenty to experience. Grab your four-legged friend, and couple of your two-legged friends as well, and experience all there is to experience at Surly.

Tiny Diner

1024 38th St E | Minneapolis, MN 55407 | (612) 767-3322

A restaurant and farm that grows some of it’s own food that ends up in their dishes.  The rest of the food is locally sourced and according to their website, “Every month we pay tribute to diner towns across the US.”  They produce their own power and leave as little a foot print as possible on the landscape.  Their patio is surrounded by a green area that creates a relaxing environment for you and your pooch.

Dark Horse Bar & Eatery

250 7th St E, Saint Paul, MN 55101   (651) 313 7960

With a fantastic menu from starters to pizza and sandwiches you won’t be disappointed.   A great patio in the alley along the side of the restaurant is a great place for you and your pooch to sit, relax, and enjoy the day.

Como Dockside

1360 Lexington Pkwy N | St Paul, MN 55117 | (651) 666-9491

With different menus for anyone’s taste, the time off day, or day of the week.  The Como Dockside is a great way to finish up your day or add to your day.  You and your pooch can walk around Lake Como and get some exercise in while you enjoy the weather.  Time your day right and you could also catch one of many musical acts playing throughout the summer.

Swing on over to their website and see all that the Como Dockside has to offer HERE.
