Barack Obama, 44th president of the United States, Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Harvard graduate, the United States’ most-admired man (11 years straight), husband and father can now add R&B star to his lost list of achievements.
The former POTUS recently shared his list of favorite movies and books from 2018 (find the list here). His favorite songs were also a part of that list, and then, as something of a cherry on top, he released one of his own.
Well, sort of.
President Obama doesn’t sing, but he does have a nice voice
The song, titled “One Last Time (44 Remix)” was released in December by Broadway hit musical Hamilton creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda, as part of his year-long “Hamildrop” series. It features Hamilton cast member Christopher Jackson and gospel singer BeBe Winans, with Barack Obama coming in to deliver a passage from George Washington’s 1796 farewell address about halfway through.
The “Hamildrop” series features remixed songs from his hit Broadway musical to raise money for charity. A new song was released every month in 2018. “One Last Time (44 Remix)” was the final entry.

The former POTUS is now slotted at the number 22 spot on this week’s Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart with the single, as reported by Billboard.
