David Cross “Oh Come On” tour coming to Minneapolis

All of you Kids in the Hall fans had better get ready: Comedian David Cross coming to town.

You should also put July 11th on your calendar so that you don’t miss him. The Hennepin Theatre Trust announced that award-winning comedian David Cross will bring his new “Oh Come On” tour to Minneapolis at the historic Pantages Theatre (710 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis) on Wednesday, July 11 at 8 p.m. His stop here in Minnesota is part of his 46-city North American theatre tour that kicks off June 1 in Chicago, with additional domestic and international dates planned.

His first full tour since 2016’s “Making America Great Again,” which toured North America and Europe. His previous tour also spawned a Netflix special of the same name and the CD “…America…Great” which ended up Grammy-nominated.

Speaking of his current tour David Cross “Oh Come On” Cross, had this to say, “I am beyond aroused to get back out on the road and bring my very special, artisanal small batch hand crafted, 100% organic jokes and jabberings to a venue near you. These jokes are kid tested and mother approved, so bring the whole family!”

Emmy Award winner and two-time Grammy Award nominee, Cross created and directed the new U.K. TV series, Bliss, which premiered on Sky TV in February 2018. His list of TV credits doesn’t end there though.  His credits also include three stand-up specials; the IFC series’, Todd Margaret, and The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret. His work can also be found on Netflix with the series, Mr. Show with Bob and David as well as Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.  He also on HBO with the series, Mr. Show and on FOX with the series’, Arrested Development.

On the big screen, Cross wrote and directed the independent film, Hits, which premiered at Sundance and is streaming on Netflix. He can also be found in  the independent features, Kill Your Darlings, alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Michael C. Hall, and the dramedy It’s a Disaster, opposite Julia Stiles and America Ferrera. His list of film credits also include AbelYear One, Christopher Guest’s Waiting for GuffmanMen in Black and Men in Black IIGhost World, Michel Gondry’s Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless MindPitch Perfect 2, and I’m Not There. Cross has also provided his vocal talents for several animated films, including Megamind, the Kung Fu Panda franchise and Curious George.
