Gordon Bombay, Goldberg, Charlie Conway, and Peter Banks. If these names don’t sound familiar, then maybe talk of “The Flying V,” or a large crowd chanting “Quack, Quack, Quack…” may jog your memory.

That’s right, I’m talking about The Might Ducks, the hockey movie that probably got its fair share of Minnesotan kids interested in ice skating, hockey, or both. The plot is easily summed up as a crazy self centered Minnesotan lawyer (Emilio Estevez) finds himself in charge of a hockey team made up of the kids that no one wants on their team. Hilarity ensues, life lessons are learned, and there is hockey. Lots and lots of hockey.

Just as it should be in Minnesota.

Keep an eye out for local landmarks like Mickey’s diner, as the movie was shot n and around the Twin Cities.

Movies in the Outfield takes place at the Savage Sports Center, 13450 Dakota Ave, Savage, on December 16th at 6:30pm!  The best part other than the movie is this is going to take place inside where it is a balmy 65 degrees in the middle of winter. This is a free movie night brought to you by The South of the River Recreators (S.O.R.R).

So bring a lawn chair and some blankets if you are a freeze baby, grab some popcorn from the concession stand and enjoy a great movie with friends and family.

All the details!
