The Minnesota Grape Growers Association (MGGA) has a pretty good deal for all you wine drinkers: For a paltry sum of $25, you can pick 10 wineries to go to for a wine tasting through their Winery Passport program.
Now, this isn’t one of those deals where you get to pick 10 out of a list of like 12. No, this is pick 10 wineries out of a list of 48 that span all corners of Minnesota and even venture into Wisconsin (and one even dips into Iowa). The Passport can be purchased here. At the bottom of the purchase page there is a Frequently asked questions area(FAQ). Now some of you may be super interested but wondering, “What exactly entails a tasting at each winery?” Well, great question. According to the FAQ, “A ‘tasting’ is typically a 1oz. sampling of the wines produced by the winery. You may sample 3-10 wines at any participating winery.”
Whether you are a wine lover or are just looking for something to do, the Winery Passport may be just the thing to do over this fall and winter. So round of some friends and go explore our local wineries! At $25 a person and the ability to sample 10 wineries it will fill up some weekends with things to do.
